Mark your calendar: The orientation day for incoming undergraduate students will take place on September 7. If you are enrolling in a master’s program, check the date of the orientation session for your program.
Explore the campus, get familiar with the academic tools, and meet the faculty. That is the goal of the Orientation Day that the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) will be held on September 7 to welcome students who are beginning their undergraduate studies.
The session will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Auditorium with the institutional welcome and the presentation of the Comprehensive Student Support Plan (PIAE+), an initiative designed to promote the academic and personal integration of first-year students.
Organization by Grade Level
Starting at 10:00 a.m., students will be divided by degree program to participate in specific sessions for each degree program and dual degree programs. During these sessions, academic administrators will present the program details. Next, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a workshop on the UPV’s main digital tools, and before lunch, groups for the PIAE+ program will be formed, with introductions by the faculty and student mentors.
The sessions will be organized for the following degree programs:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Digital Technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science.
- Double Degree in Environmental Sciences + Marine Sciences and Technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interactive Technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Sound, and Image Technology Engineering.
- Double Degree in Telecommunications, Sound, and Image Engineering + Audiovisual Communication.
After lunch at the campus cafeteria, the day will conclude with a recreational activity organized by the Student Council, an opportunity to get to know our classmates better in a relaxed setting before classes begin.
Welcome Day for Master’s Students
The Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) will also welcome the master’s students with various orientation sessions, organized according to the start date of each degree program:
- Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching (MUPES): Monday September 7, at 3:00 p.m., in the format online.
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Assessment and Monitoring of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems (MEMIC), Master’s Degree in Acoustic Engineering (MUIA), Master’s Degree in Tourism Intelligence (MUINTUR) and Master’s Degree in Digital Post-Production (MUPD): Monday September 14, in the morning.
- Master’s Degree in Transmedia Communication (MUCT): Tuesday October 6, in the morning.
The purpose of these orientation sessions is to help new students settle in, explain how the academic programs work, and provide information about the main services and resources available at the Gandia Campus.
