Make a note on your calendar: incoming students’ orientation is on September 7.
Explore the campus, get familiar with the academic tools, and meet the faculty. That is the goal of the Orientation Day that the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) will be held on September 7 to welcome students who are beginning their undergraduate studies.
The session will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Auditorium with the institutional welcome and the presentation of the Comprehensive Student Support Plan (PIAE+), an initiative designed to promote the academic and personal integration of first-year students.
Organization by Grade Level
Starting at 10:00 a.m., students will be divided by degree program to participate in specific sessions for each degree program and dual degree programs. During these sessions, academic administrators will present the program details. Next, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a workshop on the UPV’s main digital tools, and before lunch, groups for the PIAE+ program will be formed, with introductions by the faculty and student mentors.
The sessions will be organized for the following degree programs:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Digital Technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science.
- Double Degree in Environmental Sciences + Marine Sciences and Technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interactive Technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Sound, and Image Technology Engineering.
- Double Degree in Telecommunications, Sound, and Image Engineering + Audiovisual Communication.
After lunch at the campus cafeteria, the day will conclude with a recreational activity organized by the Student Council, an opportunity to get to know our classmates better in a relaxed setting before classes begin.
Services Fair
The welcome to the new academic year will continue a few days later with the Services Fair, an event where students can learn firsthand about the resources and services offered by the UPV’s Gandia campus.
The library, cultural activities, sports programs—free for students on campus—and the Integrated Employment Service will be among the offerings at this fair, designed to help students discover everything the university campus has to offer beyond the classroom.
At the UPV’s Gandia Campus, the Services Fair will be held on September 17.
