The Universitat Politècnica de València recognizes the 25 best secondary school teachers in the Valencian Community. The award ceremony will take place on May 7 at the Gandia Campus.
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) once again highlights the value of teaching excellence with a new edition of Magistrales, the program that distinguishes the 25 best teachers of Secondary Education -ESO, Bachillerato and formative cycles- of the Comunitat Valenciana.
As every year, it is the first year students of the UPV who propose the nominations, thus recognizing the teacher who has left a decisive mark on their academic and personal career thanks to their dedication, mastery of the subject, closeness, involvement and motivational capacity.
With this initiative, the UPV strengthens its relationship with secondary school teachers. In addition, this recognition contributes to build bridges between secondary and university education, favouring the creation of links between both stages.
Magistrales not only recognizes the commitment and vocation of teachers, but also dignifies a key profession for society, underlining its essential role in the training of new generations.
Throughout its editions, this program has brought together teachers from all over the Valencian Community, from Vinaròs, Segorbe and Benidorm to La Pobla de Vallbona, Cullera, Alcoy or Elda. Professionals with diverse profiles that teach both technical subjects -Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science- and humanities subjects -Language, Geography and History-. There are teachers who are starting their careers and those who have extensive experience, and develop their work in public, private and concerted centres.
In this ninth edition, the awards ceremony will be held on May 7 at 18:00 hours in the Aula Magna of the Campus of Gandia of the UPV, which is consolidated as a reference scenario to pay tribute to educational excellence.
