Aitana Ferri and Sonia Burguera, Gandia Campus students, awarded during her Erasmus stay in Germany.
An app that uses artificial intelligence to organize the user’s closet and suggests personalized outfits. This has been the proposal presented by Aitana Ferri and Sonia Burguera, and their team, a project that has been awarded at the ASAP Festival of Innovation held in Stuttgart.
Aitana and Sonia are attending the Degree in Audiovisual Communication taught at the Campus of Gandia of the Universitat Politècnica de València, although she is currently on an Erasmus stay at the Hochschule der Medien. The students explain that she chose this center “because of its high specialization in the field of media and because it best suited my academic and professional interests”.
According to Aitana, “the University of Stuttgart is very modern and tends to work practically, with projects, teamwork and methodologies oriented to the actual creation of products. In comparison, she points out that “at the Gandia Campus, there is more variety in evaluation formats, exams and more structured classes”.
Best Business Model Award
The award received is part of the entrepreneurship course included in the program of the course she has followed during the first semester. For three days, the students had to develop a business idea from scratch, simulating the creation of a new company start-up.
“We decided to create an app in which artificial intelligence would organize your closet and suggest you outfits customized according to the weather, occasion and personal style,” Aitana explains.
The project won the award for best business model, a recognition that, according to the student, “allows us to access possible grants should we decide to develop the idea in the future”.
This recognition reflects not only the creative capacity of the student body, but also the importance of international exchange programs to enrich the academic and professional training of the student body.
Congratulations!
