Your podcast, your project

AudibleLab returns to Gandia Campus to discover new talents.

If the creation of podcasts, sound design, and innovative narratives arouses your curiosity, you cannot miss the presentation of the second edition of the AudibleLAB contest. A unique opportunity to learn, create, and shape innovative sound projects.

“AudibleLAB is a call aimed at awakening the interest of future producers and creators of sound content”, explains UPV Gandia Campus professor Raúl Terol. “The goal is to identify and accompany new university talents in the creation of their podcast and audio projects”.

The second edition of the AudibleLab Contest arrives at the Gandia Campus

The competition is structured in two phases: a preliminary phase in each participating university, where a finalist project is selected, and a national final phase in which a committee of experts chooses the winning project.

This event is mainly aimed at students of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, although it is also open to other related degrees. The aim is to encourage interest in creative audio storytelling, sound design and content production, both fiction and non-fiction.

Training workshop for participants

The presentation of the second edition of the AudibleLAB contest will be accompanied by a three-hour on-site training seminar, in which students will learn key aspects to develop their projects.

Topics such as the approach to the idea, the script, production strategies and optimization of resources, as well as sound design will be addressed. In addition, participants will be able to resolve doubts about the creative process and the contest rules.

Also, to give an additional boost to the selected teams, AudibleLab will offer online mentoring and advice to the finalist groups. According to Professor Terol, “this measure seeks to ensure that the projects progress correctly until the final presentation phase”.

An edition marked by local success

In the first edition of the competition, the team led by Andrea Salvatierra from the Gandia Campus of the UPV, won the first place with the podcast Armed Silence. For Professor Raul Terol, “this recognition supports the talent of the students of the campus” and reaffirms the commitment of the Sound Laboratory (LabdSo), to “innovation and excellence in university sound creation”.
