New edition of the contest aimed at sons and daughters of staff and students of the university.
The Universitat Politècnica de València, through the Communication Area, invites young people to combine imagination, science and Christmas spirit in the thirteenth edition of the contest Draw Science at Christmas UPV.
The drawings can be sent from the page contest website from November 24 to December 9.
The theme is completely free, but with science, technology and Christmas as protagonists. All illustrations will be published on the contest website.
Four categories, two prizes for each
Four age categories will be established, and each one will have a prize by popular vote (voting will open on December 11 and 12) and a prize awarded by a specialized jury.
The winners will receive as a prize books and educational games with the STEAM seal designed to continue awakening their scientific curiosity, an ingenuity cube from the Dones de Ciència project and some other surprises.
In addition, and as a thank you for the effort and creativity, each participant will receive two movie tickets and a 5% discount voucher for educational games, stationery and children’s books.
Winners, on December 16
The names of the winners will be announced on December 16 on the contest page and on the UPV website. And the awards ceremony will be held on December 23, at 10:00, at the UPV Rector’s Office.
The activity is organized by the Communication Area-Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i) of the Universitat Politècnica de València, with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
The deadline for submitting drawings is December 9.
