The podcast promoted by students of Audiovisual Communication receives recognition from the Royal Spanish Taekwondo Federation.
The podcast From Passion to Profession promoted by students and graduates of the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València, has been recognized by the Royal Spanish Federation of Taekwondo and Associated Disciplines at the National Awards Gala as “the social media that has promoted the world of taekwondo the most and best in the year 2025”.
The program is directed by Emilio Sifres with the collaboration of Milagros Velázquez (cameraman and producer), Betsabé Torres (editor) and Maryam Haidala (graphic designer), fourth year students of the Audiovisual Communication Degree. Emilio is a graduate of the campus.
A passion turned into a profession
The origin of the podcast comes from Emilio Sifres’ passion for taekwondo, a sport he runs a school. Faced with the difficulty of finding specialized and close content about this discipline, he decided to create a space in interview format that would show inspiring stories linked to taekwondo and reflect how a passion can become a profession.
Since its start-up, From Passion to Profession has conducted more than 40 interviews with leading national and international taekwondo figures. Among his guests are the president of the Spanish Taekwondo Federation, world champion athletes, Olympic medalists and elite coaches.
For Milagros Velázquez, the fact that the podcast has been awarded, “is an honor for the team and an incentive to continue with the project”.
This recognition values the work, perseverance and passion for taekwondo, making it more visible from social networks with a specialized content program within the sports and audiovisual field.
