A proposal that integrates academic analysis and artistic creation to invite citizens to reflect on contemporary environmental and social challenges.
The conference-concert “Where is the limit? Musical reflections on the current development model”, which was held at the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València, combined academic analysis and artistic creation in a dynamic format, inviting the audience to reflect on current environmental and social challenges.
Awareness and defense of the wetland
This activity is part of a series of activities promoted by the platform The Breath of Ullal to denounce the consequences of the degradation of the wetland and warn about the risks of the current tourism model, which – according to the group – seriously endangers the natural resources of the environment.
Since its creation, the platform has promoted numerous initiatives aimed at both citizens and politicians, with the aim of encouraging collective reflection and promoting a change of direction in the management of the territory. Under slogans such as “Salvem l’Ullal” and “Stop Glamping”, the group insists on the need to protect this natural space, considered key to the ecological balance of the area.

Science and territory: a critical look at the current model
The engineer Rafael Delgado Artés professor at the UPV and president of the Valencian Forestry Platform, has contributed his academic and environmental vision on the risks that threaten natural ecosystems, from a critical perspective of the current model of socioeconomic and territorial development, considered unsustainable by many experts.
Music to reinforce the message
The artistic dimension was led by Cristina Ases Alborch, known as The Qris and member of El Aliento del Ullal. His compositions, inspired by water, territory and the defense of wetlands, reinforced the environmental message through musical expression.
