Participate in the technical conference “Green Hospitals” organized by the Safor Salut program. Objective: to reduce the environmental footprint of the health sector and contribute to improve public environmental health.
In the current context of climate emergency and ecological transformation, the healthcare system faces a major challenge: to reduce its environmental footprint without compromising the quality of care or the safety of patients and professionals.
Hospitals are infrastructures that have high energy consumption, generate large volumes of waste, use single-use materials and have a direct impact on the urban environment and natural resources. This situation makes it necessary to rethinking the hospital management model from a comprehensive sustainability perspective.
The cooperation program Safor Healtha joint initiative between the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), FISABIO-Gandia Health Department, FISABIO-HACLE La Pedrera and the Federation of Business Associations of La Safor (FAES), will be holding a technical seminar on Green Hospitals. This meeting, dedicated to promoting sustainability and innovation in the healthcare sector, will take place on wednesday, november 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in person, at the Francesc de Borja University Hospital.
Working for public and environmental health
As part of the initiatives developed by Safor Salut during 2025, this session aims to showcase successful innovative experiences and explore emerging technologies applicable to the hospital environment, promoting the generation of innovative ideas to solve identified challenges, products and sustainable processes that drive the transformation towards a more responsible and environmentally friendly health system.
The activity is aimed at research personnel from universities and technological institutes, healthcare professionals, companies and public administrations.
