Shapes in the Landscape of La Villa

On Friday, September 28, at 6:00 p.m., the Pedro Marco 2026 Fellowship Discussion was held at the Palacio del Cid-Wine Museum in Requena, attended by this year’s selected artist, Carmen del Mar Andreu, with the title “Shapes in the Town’s Landscape.”

The event is part of the scholarship’s outreach program, which each year promotes young talent associated with the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, in collaboration with the Requena City Council.

The discussion is conceived as a space open to the public, to dialogue, and to the exchange of ideas, reinforcing the Pedro Marco Fellowship’s mission as a platform for reflection on art, the region, and memory.

Participants included Pedro Marco; Antonio Alcaraz, advisor for the Pedro Marco Scholarship; Francisco Berenguer, director of the Department of Drawing; Francisco Giner, director of the Department of Painting; Jaume Chornet, professor in the Department of Sculpture; and Rosario Llamas, professor in the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the School of Fine Arts, in a session moderated by Santiago Vañó.
