Inauguration of Laura Silvestre as new Dean of the FBBAA

The Rector welcomed the new Dean’s inauguration ceremony, held on Friday, January 30, in the Alfons Roig auditorium of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Regarding the new Dean, Laura Silvestre, Rector José Capilla congratulated the professor for her election as head of such an emblematic Faculty as the Faculty of Fine Arts, a center that naturally integrates artistic creation, theoretical reflection, research and cultural transfer. He also emphasized that Laura Silvestre clearly represents the profile of university professors that characterizes the Universitat Politècnica de València: teaching and research excellence, management experience and a solid connection with society.

In her speech, the dean reaffirmed her commitment to a plural, inclusive and academically excellent faculty, built on active listening and collective work, with the aim of forming a critical, creative and committed citizenry. There were also words of recognition for the outgoing Dean, Pepe Galindo, for his work at the head of the Faculty during the last eight years, highlighting his constant work, his generous dedication and his dedication. The ceremony concluded with congratulations from the Rector to the new Dean and thanks to the entire Faculty of Fine Arts for its commitment and pride in belonging to the Universitat Politècnica de València, recalling that in the university art, knowledge and technology move forward together.
