Pilar Bosch represents the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV in the Italian Senate to promote the modernization of the European artistic model.

Pilar Bosch, Vice-Dean of International Relations representing the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos of the Universitat Politècnica de València, participated in the congress “Academie e Conservatori di musica in Italia e in Europa”, held in the Sala Zuccari in the Senate of the Italian Republic. The meeting was organized by Senator Luca Pirondini, the Union of Artists, UMANS, Professor Dora Liguori, with the aim of analyzing the situation of the sector and its possible convergence with European university models.

During her speech, Pilar Bosch presented the structure and functioning of the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos of the Universitat Politècnica de València, offering a practical reference of how higher artistic studies are fully integrated into the European university system (EHEA). His contribution was framed in the debate on the need to transform the Italian Fine Arts Academies into university faculties, following a model widely spread in Europe.

Participation in a European key

The participation of European experts was one of the highlights of the congress, which featured top-level international speakers such asFinn Schumacher, Direttore Generale dell’Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC)which brings together 320 institutions from Europe, Asia, America and Australia;Elisabeth Gutjahr, Rettrice della Mozarteum University, Salisburg, AustriaPilar Bosch Roig, Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia and Marco Conceição, President of the Politécnico do Porto da ESMAE Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo. In this context, the Spanish presence is part of a broader strategy aimed at fostering the international recognition of higher artistic studies and promoting their equalization within the European Higher Education Area, while at the same time strengthening cooperation between European institutions in the artistic field.
