From September 21 to 23, more than 50 researchers from Europe and other countries participated in the ENHANCE Meeting for Researchers, a three-day event that brought two Alliance programs for doctoral students to a close: the Cross-Border Mentoring Program and the Research Internship Program.
Below is a testimonial from Professor Oksana of the Department of Applied Linguistics at the UPV:

It was a privilege to participate in the ENHANCE Meeting for Researchers, held in Czarlina (Poland) and organized by Gdańsk University of Technology. The event brought together doctoral students, early-career researchers, mentors, and faculty members from across the ENHANCE Alliance in a unique setting designed to foster research collaboration, well-being, and community building.
Along with Lourdes Canós, I had the opportunity to lead two interactive workshops for mentors of doctoral students: “Mental Health and Well-Being During a Ph.D. Program” and “Building Effective Relationships Between Advisors and Doctoral Students”. These sessions provided a space to reflect on and discuss some of the main challenges faced by early-career researchers, as well as to explore practical strategies that contribute to academic success, resilience, and the creation of healthy research environments.
Beyond the workshops, the event offered numerous opportunities to network, exchange knowledge, and foster interdisciplinary dialogue through presentations by researchers, collaborative activities, and sessions focused on well-being. It was particularly inspiring to see the commitment of the institutions that are part of ENHANCE to creating inclusive and supportive research communities that place people at the center of academic excellence.
We would like to thank the organizers of the Gdańsk University of Technology, his ENHANCE team, and the NAWA Agency and to all the participants for their commitment, openness, and valuable contributions. Events like this demonstrate the potential of the ENHANCE Alliance to connect researchers from different countries and help build a stronger, more collaborative European research ecosystem.
