The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) participated in the Staff Week organized by Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland) as part of the GREAT programme (Global Recognition for Employee Achievement and Training), within the framework of the ENHANCE Alliance. The program is open to academic and non-academic staff from all ENHANCE universities and provides support to university staff in developing skills and perspectives that contribute to social transformation through education.
UPV’s participation took place mainly within the Basic Track, whose main objective is to foster international collaboration and the exchange of experiences among professionals from the universities that are part of ENHANCE, through sessions and activities such as job shadowing.

This experience provided an opportunity to learn about different working methodologies and best practices, while also helping to strengthen ties with other institutions. Participants highlighted the collaborative atmosphere and the opportunity to share experiences with colleagues from other countries, as well as the organization and coordination throughout the programme. In addition, an important milestone is that, for the first time, these online and in-person training hours will be officially recognized by the Unidad de Formación para la Administración y los Servicios Universitarios (UFASU).

Nuria Ibáñez, a colleague from the Internationalization Service, praised the warm welcome received from the Polish institution and the coordination among the different departments. Meanwhile, Mª de los Llanos Gómez, from the Centro de Cooperación al Desarrollo, highlighted the opportunity to build connections both among colleagues from the same university and with staff from the other participating universities.
UPV’s participation in initiatives of this kind reflects the university’s commitment to continuous training and internationalization across its different areas.
