Presentation of the degree

Industrial informatics and robotics is a multidisciplinary technological field that studies the implementation of computer science and robot programming to the business development of the smart industry or industry 4.0, a paradigm of industrial manufacturing in which all productive systems are strongly computerised and interconnected.

The objective of the degree is to train competent professionals with deep knowledge of informatics and robotics engineering, who are capable of addressing the deployment of industry 4.0 and adapting to technological changes, as well as leading project teams with people from different fields.

Career opportunities

The degree trains highly qualified people in the computerisation and robotisation of productive processes in the field of industry 4.0 such as advanced robot programming, industrial cybersecurity, industrial network management, design of embedded intelligent systems, human-machine interfaces, design of real-time systems, industry sensorisation and computer vision.

International mobility and internships

Thanks to the agreements in place with other universities, the students of this degree will be able to complete part of their studies or carry out internships in companies in other countries. These agreements include universities in Europe, the US, China, Japan and Australia.

The School has a vast network of contacts in companies that operate in these sectors, so it is expected that the offer and variety of internships in companies will be very wide.

Further studies

With this degree students may access the following university master's degrees taught by the UPV: Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence; Automation and Industrial Informatics; Cloud Computing and High Performance; Computer and Network Engineering; Software Systems Engineering and Technology; Artificial Intelligence, Shape Recognition and Digital Image; Computer Aided Integrated Design and Manufacturing; Mechatronics Engineering; and Electronic Systems Engineering.

As in the rest of the cases, students may apply for admission to any UPV master's degree by taking the appropriate levelling courses.
