History

Teaching and Research Quality 

Our University offers degrees that are modern, flexible and adapted to our society. Our lecturers, who are organised into departments, are highly qualified and balance theoretical and applied research.

UPV applies strict teaching and research quality control schemes. Likewise, the University encourages and supports its staff in their projects, as well as encouraging national and international co-operation.

Employment for our graduates 

We pay special attention and give all our support to the incorporation of our graduates into the labour market. To this end we encourage contacts between businesses and students through internships at enterprises and public institutions. Postgraduate studies, both PhD programmes and Master_s degrees, are also very important for UPV.

We believe that our students_ employment is part of our responsibility. This is why UPV has established a Career and Employment Office, to guide and encourage the professional development of all the people who study at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The results obtained in this field are a reliable sign of our success.

International Vocation 

Our international vocation results in an intense presence abroad, with branches in Colombia (COINNOVAR Corporation), in Argentina (Centre for Technical Education), in Mexico (University Centre for Environmental Sciences), in Cuba (Centre for Studies of Advanced Technologies) and in Uruguay (DeCOSUR Foundation), amongst others.

We have been innovators in many of these countries and we continue to make progress, not only to consolidate our programmes, but also to initiate new joint ventures and to strengthen bonds with other South American countries, Japan (where we have already signed cooperation agreements with universities in Mie and Suzuka), the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and the United States of America.
