UPV awards the students with the best admission marks and the most outstanding academic records in undergraduate studies

[ 06/05/2024 ]

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) awards the students with the best admission marks, the most outstanding academic records in undergraduate studies, and the graduates with the best qualifications.

The recognition is academic and awarded based on the data available to the UPV in the student records, so it is unnecessary to apply to participate. The conditions are available on the UPV Student Services website.

Admission marks between 12 and 14 points

For the category of prizes for the best admission marks, students with admission marks between 12 and 14 points, both from the University Entrance Exams (PAU) and higher-level training cycle, enrolled at the UPV in the 2023-2024 academic year will be considered.

One prize will be awarded for each degree and double degree, for a total of 60 prizes.

Best results for each academic year

As for the prizes for the best records for the 2022-2023 academic year, the UPV has announced 63 prizes for first-year students, 59 for second-year students, 54 for third-year students, 52 for fourth-year students and 8 for fifth-year students.

The average mark to be eligible for these prizes must be at least 8 points.

Awards for UPV graduates

Finally, for the 2022-2023 academic year, the UPV recognises 56 awards for the students who have completed their studies with the highest marks. Students who have completed a double degree will compete for these awards by receiving an additional award in each of the single degrees that make up the double degree.

The average mark of the transcripts must be at least 8 points.

In addition to the academic recognition, the three best graduates will receive a special prize that will entitle them to exemption from the payment of tuition fees for educational services in official Master's programmes, provided that the winner enrols for the first time in a Master's programme taught at this University in the academic years 2023/2024 or 2024/2025.

Publication of results

The provisional list of winners will be published on the UPV Student Services website before 31 May 2024.

The final list of award winners will be published before 30 June 2024 once the applications submitted have been assessed.
