The Universitat Politècnica de València is a springboard for entrepreneurship. This is the objective of IDEAS UPV, which this year once again took the form of Think Emprende. On this day, current and future entrepreneurs can share their experiences, doubts and aspirations.
Think Emprende featured Solatom, the UPV company that has made beer more sustainable; MSA students Mario Saiz and Raquel Calles, who spent 6 months in Silicon Valley; and the most disruptive entrepreneurial community in Valencia, created by UPV students, SparkED.
The latter is an initiative for restless students with an entrepreneurial spirit, as one of its representatives, Pablo Martínez, explains. In SparkED, they organise workshops, events and many activities to foster the desire to learn and be enterprising. Martínez said that on 23 May, as part of all these objectives, a major event will be held for UPV students.
Think Emprende also focused on one of the leading entrepreneurship centres worldwide, Silicon Valley. Two UPV students, Mario Saiz and Raquel Calles, spoke about their experience at Berkley University in California, USA, where they spent six months studying for a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, which allowed them to visit the mecca of entrepreneurship.
A place where IDEAS UPV wants to take the best entrepreneurial students. They will do so through the IDEAS Dream Big on 8 May, an event where they search for a sustainable idea to change the world. The winning idea will go on to the national final in Barcelona, where the winning team will visit Silicon Valley.
Think Emprende is the first stop on the entrepreneurship map created by Ideas UPV, which will continue with Emprende Day and Emprende Week, two events where interested students can boost their ideas and creativity in the field of entrepreneurship.
