Ministry Grants

The application deadline for undergraduate and postgraduate studies grants is 10 May, via the electronic central office

[ 12/04/2024 ]

The general call for applications for scholarships and study grants for the 2024-2025 academic year opened on Tuesday, 19 March. Grants for undergraduate and postgraduate studies can be applied for until 10 May via the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport website.

We advise you not to leave the application until the last day, as you will be asked for information that can be found in documents that you will have to search for or consult.

As in the previous call for applications, you will have to fill in a series of provisional data, which can be modified later, even if you do not yet know what marks you will obtain this academic year, what you will study next year or whether or not you will continue your studies.

The main new feature of this call for applications is the 5% increase in the income thresholds, which will allow more students to access a grant. This is in addition to the improvements made in previous years, such as the increase in the residence grant from €1,600 to €2,500.

The main change for students with special educational needs is a reduction in the percentage of disability that must be recognised to apply for these grants, from 33% to 25%.

The grants have a budget of 2,535 million euros, and it is estimated that almost one million students will be able to receive a grant to enable them to continue their studies.
