Privacy Policy for Mobile Applications of Universitat Politècnica de València

1. Introduction

This document aims to establish the General Terms of Use for mobile applications, hereinafter 'apps', owned by Universitat Politècnica de València.

Universitat Politècnica de València reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use in order to adapt them to the current applicable legislation at any time.

The University may, at any time and without prior notice, make changes and updates to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

These changes will be published on the Web and will be effective from the moment of their publication. As a consequence of the above, the User must periodically review if there are changes in these Conditions and, whether there is express consent or not, if the User continues to use the Service after publication, this implies acceptance and assumption of them. If you do not agree with the updates to the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, you may resign by stopping using the Service.

Certain apps are exclusive to University members and their access is restricted. The download and use of the application attributes the status of user of the same and implies the reading, understanding and acceptance of all the terms and conditions contained in this policy.

2. Collection and processing of personal data

Universitat Politècnica de València through its apps may collect personal data from users when accessing those of the University. If this personal data is not provided, it cannot offer the requested services.

3. What personal data is collected

In the case of an authenticated application that provides a personalized push notification service, the internal user identifier of the university will be collected along with its device identifier and the mobile application used.

4. Purpose of personal data processing

Universitat Politècnica de València may use the personal data collected for sending personalized (push) notifications.

5. Legitimation of personal data processing

Universitat Politècnica de València will process your data based on the contractual relationship that exists between both parties. (upv user/upv students).

6. Conservation of personal data

Universitat Politècnica de València will guarantee the accuracy and quality of personal data, they will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected, unless the law requires them to be kept for a longer time.

7. Third parties

It is possible that Universitat Politècnica de València discloses personal data by legal mandate, in the framework of a judicial process or at the request of a public authority, both inside and outside your country of residence. Personal information may also be published if necessary or convenient for reasons of national security, to comply with current legislation or for other relevant reasons of public order.

8. Rights

Interested parties have the right to exercise the rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability, limitation or opposition to treatment by providing a copy of an official document that identifies them (NIF-NIE, Passport), and if necessary, supporting documentation of their request before:

9. Integrity of personal data

Universitat Politècnica de València will guarantee the protection of personal data through encryption during transit and, those hosted in facilities, with physical security measures. When using certain products, services or applications or when publishing opinions in forums, chat rooms or social networks, the content and personal data that is shared will be visible to other users, who will have the possibility of reading, compiling or using them. You will be responsible for the personal data that you distribute or provide in these cases.

10. Collection and processing of non-personal data

Universitat Politècnica de València will also collect data in a way that, by themselves, cannot be directly associated with a specific person.

The types of analytical information that are collected include the date and time at which the application accesses our servers, the version of the application, device location, operating system information and information related to the operation of the application. Universitat Politècnica de València uses this data to improve the quality and functionality of our applications and to help identify and solve application stability problems and other usage problems as quickly as possible.

Under no circumstances will Universitat Politècnica de València provide personal data to third parties. Nor to service providers outside the University.
