The students of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety visited the company’s plant Arcelor Mittal in Port de Sagunt (Valencia), activity included in the subjects of “Industrial Safety Management and Organization” i de “Industrial Safety of equipment and installations“of the first semester of the 25/26 course. In it they were received by the Head of Industrial Safety of the company, Marta Diago. The students were able to visit the tandem, annealing and galvanizing installations, in order to know first hand the process, the technical and organizational aspects of the industrial safety management in the company and to verify the real application of the different industrial safety regulations in an installation of this type (low voltage, fire protection, pressure equipment, chemical products packaging, explosive atmospheres and fire safety in industrial establishments.) .
The Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety is committed to the quality training of its students and includes the realization of different field visits to industrial facilities with the aim of completing the theoretical and practical training given in the classroom. The visit was funded by DINT grants awarded by the Vice-Rectorate for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation of the UPV.
