Access requirements
To access this degree, the general requirements established in Royal Decree 822/2021, specifically in Article 18 thereof, apply, as well as the regulations of Pre-registration and Admission to Master’s Degrees of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
Language Requirement
Spanish will be used as the vehicular language for the training process of the degree. Those who come from countries where Spanish is not an official language, must accredit the level of Spanish accrediting the degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language.
Specifically, it will be necessary to accredit the B2 level of Spanish by means of any of the official certificates recognized by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) or by the Association of Language Centers in Higher Education (ACLES). An alternative form of accreditation may include a personal interview conducted by the Master’s Academic Committee to verify linguistic competence.
*The master’s degree is taught in Spanish except for the subject “TFM Laboratory” (3 ECTS), so the necessary language requirement is Spanish – B2
Specific documentation for pre-registration for the Master’s degree:
Submit portfolio with:
- Graphic documentation of the 5 projects/works developed as part of the studies that serve as a basis for accessing the Master’s Degree.
- Selection of other relevant results obtained during the studies that serve as a basis for access to the Master’s degree.
- Selection of research results, publications, professional experience and other qualifications obtained after completing the studies that serve as a basis for access to the Master’s degree.
The master’s degree is preferably aimed at students with the following undergraduate degrees:
- Degree in Architecture / Fundamentals of Architecture
- Civil Engineering Degree
- Degree in Landscape Architecture / Landscape Architecture
- Degree in Technical Architecture
- Degree in Geomatics Engineering and Surveying
- Other undergraduate degrees with sufficient content in urban planning and landscape after their curriculum has been assessed by the Academic Committee of the master’s degree.
Students with Master’s degrees corresponding to the above-mentioned degrees may also be admitted:
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Master’s Degree in Road, Canal and Port Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Building
Admission for disabled students
For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and counseling services will be established to assess the needs of curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies, through the support of the CEDAT Foundation of the UPV.
The CEDAT Foundation of the UPV offers information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as accompaniment and support in the classroom. In addition, it provides technical aids for study to those members of the student body who, due to their special educational needs, require it. It also promotes and manages training and employment actions for this group, both inside and outside the UPV campuses, and offers different services from its Special Employment Center.
The foundation also carries out projects for the elimination of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project reviews, advice and design of ideal accessibility models.

The admission process will be based on the following aspects:

Academic record
Your academic record will represent 60% of the weighting.

Correspondence of the entrance qualification
How well the competencies of your degree match those of the reference degree will be assessed, with a weight of 20%. The score will be as follows:
- Degree in Fundamentals of Architecture or Master’s Degree in Architecture: 10 points.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering: 8 points.
- Degree in Technical Architecture or Master’s Degree in Building: 8 points.
- Degree or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture / Landscape Architecture: 8 points.
- Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering in Geomatics and Topography: 8 points.
- Other degrees with relevant content in urban planning and landscape: up to 5 points, as assessed by the Academic Committee of the master’s degree.

Curriculum Vitae
Your work experience in architecture, engineering, urban planning, landscaping or gardening will have a 20% weight in the evaluation.
Applications will be admitted according to the order of score, until the number of places offered is filled. In the event of resignations, places will be offered to applicants on the waiting list.
Scholarships
Studies leading to an official university degree allow access to scholarships and grants. The Ministry of Education, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Universitat Politècnica de València itself offer various scholarships and grants.

General scholarships for students pursuing post-compulsory studies valid throughout the national territory. The scholarship will consist of exemption from payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (tuition fees), corresponding to subjects enrolled for the first time. Other fixed and variable amounts may also be obtained, if the requirements established for this purpose are met.

For the awarding of the scholarship it is necessary to prove administrative residence in the Valencian Community and not to exceed the income thresholds established by the call, as well as to comply with the general and academic requirements. The scholarship consists of the exemption from the payment of fees for the provision of university academic services (tuition fees), for subjects enrolled in first and second enrollment.
The Universitat Politècnica de València offers various scholarships or grants such as social action grants, canteen grants or collaboration training grants. There are also grants for sportsmen and women.

Pre-registration process
Pre-registration is the procedure used to order all the applications received by each university master’s degree, according to the access requirements that have been established and the evaluation of the merits presented by each applicant.
