Description of the title

The Master’s Degree in Planning and Management in Civil Engineering is designed to train professionals capable of leading and managing projects in the field of construction and infrastructure. In a sector where management skills have become essential, this master’s degree addresses both general management and specific aspects related to infrastructure planning and operation.

Students will develop skills in environmental analysis, adaptation to new contexts, leadership and decision making, preparing them to assume managerial roles in public and private sector companies, including engineering, construction and real estate consulting firms.

Internships

During the Master’s Degree in Planning and Management in Civil Engineering, students have the opportunity to carry out external internships that will allow them to apply the knowledge acquired in a real professional environment. These internships can be carried out in companies in the construction sector, public administration and institutions related to infrastructure planning and management. This internship model is designed to foster the connection between academic training and the reality of the labor market, providing students with valuable practical experience that will enhance their professional development and facilitate their insertion in the sector.

Master’s Thesis

To obtain the title of Master’s Degree in Planning and Management in Civil Engineering, you must complete and defend a Master’s Thesis (TFM), which can be of a practical or theoretical nature. This work requires the tutoring of an assigned professor and must be publicly defended before a court.

The TFM can focus on a scientific content or on a specialized aspect of a professional nature, framed within the objectives and scope of the master’s degree. The student will carry out the work autonomously, scheduling periodic meetings with the director(s) of the TFM to guide its development.
