I am missing some documents, can I pre-register?
Yes, you can pre-register. You can provide documentation during the period in which the pre-enrollment is open. Afterwards, you can also continue to provide documentation through the pre-enrollment application, but you must keep in mind that the Academic Committee of the Master will only consider for admission the documentation that you have uploaded until the deadline for consideration of academic conditions, which for Phase 1 is May 23, 2025.
Can I pre-register for more than one specialty?
No, the application only allows pre-enrollment in one of the specialties.
Is the waiting list common to all four specialties?
No, it is not common. If you do not initially get a place, you will be placed on the waiting list for the specialty in which you have enrolled. Remember to confirm, via the web, your interest in remaining on the waiting list. However, if there are vacancies in a specialty other than the one you have enrolled in after the waiting list has been exhausted, the School will contact the students on the waiting list of the other specialties to see if they are interested in enrolling you in that specialty (in order of the list).
What is the cut-off score?
There is no cut-off mark for the master’s degree, since in addition to the academic record (50%), the entrance qualification to the master’s degree (40%) and the curriculum vitae of the candidates (10%) are taken into account for the ranking.
At what stage should I pre-register?
Since this master’s degree is in high demand, it is very important to pre-enroll in Phase 1 (from the beginning of March to the beginning of May), since it is unlikely that there will be any vacancies for the offerings of Phases 2 (in June) and 3 (in July).
What happens if I still do not have my undergraduate degree by the Phase 1 pre-enrollment deadline?
You can pre-register, but if you have not uploaded your degree by the end date for consideration of academic conditions for this phase (May 23), you will not be taken into account for the purposes of ranking, i.e., those who have submitted their degree will be given preference in terms of points.
What should I do if I have not obtained a place on the list of admitted students?
You must be activated on the waiting list or you will lose the right to be called in case of vacancies. Through the consultation of your pre-registration results on the UPV website you can access your pre-enrollment application and activate yourself by clicking on the “Activate in the waiting list” button. Remember that you must do so within the established deadline (for Phase 1, from June 4 to 9). In case you do not activate, after this deadline, your application will be considered as waived and you will no longer be on the waiting list.
Are there any language requirements for access to the master’s degree? English, Valencian?
There is no language requirement either for admission or for obtaining the master’s degree.
Registration
What is part-time enrollment and how do I apply for it?
Ordinary enrollment must exceed 40 credits. But the Progression and Permanence Regulations for UPV (NP&P), Article 5. Part-time dedication regime of TITLE II. STUDENT DEDICATION REGIME, establishes that part-time dedication is allowed, which means an enrollment between 18 and 40 credits. The application is made at the time of pre-enrollment, and supporting documentation (work activity, family responsibilities, etc.) must be uploaded.
What is the minimum number of credits I can enroll in?
According to the Progression and Permanence Regulations of the UPV, the minimum enrollment is 18 credits.
Can I apply for credit recognition if I already have teaching experience?
Once enrolled, and within the period established in the academic calendar, you can apply for the recognition of internship credits for teaching experience. At this link you have more information.
How much does the master’s degree cost and can I pay in installments?
The cost of the master’s degree is determined by the Decree of public university prices published annually by the Generalitat Valenciana. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the cost per credit in this master’s degree was 12.79 euros, which is
multiplied by 60 credits gives a total cost of 767.4 euros for the entire course. In addition, there are the administrative fees (about 34 euros approx.) plus the fees for the diploma at the end of the master’s degree (212.07 euros).

Practices
Is an internship in an educational center mandatory?
Yes, the master’s degree has internships in educational centers, which usually take place in February/March, with a duration of 200 classroom hours plus 50 hours of personal work.
Can I choose the center where I will do my internship?
Within the list of centers offered annually by the Conselleria, an attempt will be made to match the students of the master’s degree to their most preferred center. At the beginning of the course, a survey will be sent to the students so that they can define their preference.
Operation of the master’s program
What is the schedule of the master’s program?
During the first four-month period, the schedule is from Monday to Friday and from 15:30 to 20:30. On Mondays and Tuesdays, classes will be online and the rest of the days, face-to-face. In the second term, classes will be held on Mondays (online) and Wednesdays (face-to-face) from 15:30 to 20:30.
Can I take the master’s degree online?
Each subject of the master’s degree has two parts, one online and the other face-to-face. Regarding the face-to-face part, the Academic Regulations of the UPV contemplates the possibility of requesting an “Exemption from attendance”, in justified cases (work, illness, etc.) in which it is not possible to attend classes for more than 14 consecutive days, providing supporting documentation. Each subject has specified, in its teaching guide (available on the web) the alternative evaluation in the case of being granted the attendance dispensation.
Does the master’s degree qualify me to teach in private and state-subsidized schools?
Yes, in any secondary school.
Is it possible to combine this master’s degree with a job?
Although attendance to classes at the UPV is compulsory, the Regulations of Academic Regime and Student Evaluation contemplates the option of requesting the “Dispensation of attendance” to classes, for justified causes, such as work. The teaching guide of each subject includes the alternative evaluation to be applied in the case that the dispensation of attendance is granted for that subject.
