Description of the title

The Master’s Degree in Artistic Production is aimed at training artists and visual arts professionals.

The diversity of professional profiles in the labor demand for graduates in Fine Arts requires a versatile and continuously adapting training. Artists and visual arts professionals must be able to set up projects, build their own working future and act with great agility of movement in the field of free exercise of the profession, encouraging experimentation and research in the field of artistic creation and its adaptation to the professional sectors of the visual arts in which they can apply the technical and creative knowledge acquired.

The postgraduate course in Art: Production and Research provides a specialization that covers this professional reality, establishing important points of collaboration with other academic disciplines and recognized professional figures. The Master’s Degree in Artistic Production allows access to the Postgraduate Degree in Art: Production and Research.

With a flexible and clearly interdisciplinary structure, the Master’s Degree in Artistic Production develops a training offer in different curricular itineraries. In this way, the traditional division between artistic techniques and genres is overcome in order to link with the areas of research and professional practice, which tend towards transversal and applied models, and thus cover the training needs demanded by the environment.

In this way, the program responds to a context that requires a versatile and professionalized background at the highest level. Students will be able to design their training through specialization and the integration of different subjects, taking into account both new artistic trends and the proposals of the labor market.

Research and access to Ph.

Doctorate in Art: Production and Research in Culture

Our official university master’s degree gives our graduates the possibility of continuing their academic career by taking the PhD program in Art, Production and Research offered by the UPV. It is the natural continuation of the studies carried out in the master’s degree since our program is focused on research as we understand that artistic production can be conceived and carried out as research.

Many of our graduates continue their studies in our doctoral program and finish their academic cycle with the elaboration and reading of their doctoral thesis. This is the presentation of its web page that we invite you to visit for more information.

It is a non-attendance program. The transversal training courses are online and doctoral students can carry out specific activities in different locations. Specialized training in art production and research from a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective.
