The events that have taken place in the world in recent times force us to take a position and to think aboutwhat role can the visual arts play in this new situation?. Fortunately, this is not the first time that the challenges seem excessive; art has been living in crisis contexts for decades and has proposed spaces for creation, resistance and alternatives that have accompanied us to the present.
In this VII edition of the International Congress of Research in Visual Arts ANIAVwe want to examine the state of the question based on a ++POSITIV slogan that appeals to the propositional, critical or contradictory capacity of art. The double positive can be affirmation but also immoderation and contradiction.
All possibilities are open, because with the ANIAV congresses we want to give voice to the differences and dissidences in contemporary artistic proposals, from an open and inclusive perspective. In this edition we propose the usual fields of research on practices, processes and contexts of contemporary creation; critical thinking, artistic research and theoretical frameworks; mediation, transmission and care of art and visual culture.
2. Steps to follow:
ABSTRACT
Maximum 300 words;until March 24
Note: In this step you do not have to attach any file, just fill in the OCS PLATFORM in the application field at the moment of sending (max. 300 words).
Authors will be sent confirmation that their abstract has been accepted by April 1 and authors will upload their full paper to the platform by April 31.
COMPLETE WORK
If your Abstract/Abstract has been accepted, you will have a maximum period of time;until April 31, 2026to send the complete article, minimum 1500 and maximum 3000 words (the word count only includes the content, neither the abstract nor keywords) and a maximum of 12 pages.
The paper will be reviewed by blind peers and acceptance will be communicated to the authors before May 12.
