Admission requirements

The Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the UPV is the official university degree that has been used as a reference for the design of the syllabus of the Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the UPV. Therefore, this is considered as the reference Degree and its graduates, according to the merit assessment criteria established in the following section, will be admitted, if applicable, without training complements to the mentioned Master’s Degree.

Likewise, in accordance with the merit assessment criteria established in the following section, graduates with degrees equivalent to those indicated in the previous paragraph from any Spanish university will be admitted, if applicable, without any training complements. For the rest of the applicants who meet the access requirements, the ERT will establish the educational complements that they must complete, which, in any case, will be considered prerequisites for admission.

Graduates in Technical Engineering of the previous regulation must obtain, by the route of the itinerary established for adaptation, the corresponding Degree. In addition to the above, it will be considered a preferential requirement for admission the accreditation of the B2 level in a foreign language and the university access grade, in the terms regulated by the UPV.

Admission for disabled students

For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and counseling services will be established to assess the needs of curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies, through the support of the CEDAT Foundation of the UPV.

The CEDAT Foundation of the UPV offers information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as accompaniment and support in the classroom. In addition, it provides technical aids for study to those members of the student body who, due to their special educational needs, require it. It also promotes and manages training and employment actions for this group, both inside and outside the UPV campuses, and offers different services from its Special Employment Center.

The foundation also carries out projects for the elimination of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project reviews, advice and design of ideal accessibility models.

General information on access can be found in the Alumni Service – Access

Admission criteria

Article 17 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, as amended by Royal Decree 861/2010, regulates admission to master’s degree courses and establishes that students may be admitted in accordance with the specific requirements and assessment criteria established by the University. The requirements and evaluation criteria must ensure equal opportunities of access to education for students who meet the conditions of access described in the previous section. They shall be transparent, objective and shall make it possible to select, from among the students who apply, those who are most qualified on the basis of their records and merits and under conditions of comparability of such records and merits.

In accordance with the UPV’s Regulations on Academic Regime and Student Evaluation, approved by the Governing Council on January 28, 2010, the Academic Degree Committees are responsible for “Proposing the conditions for admission and credit recognition to the committees established by the UPV for this purpose”. When there are more candidates than places offered, it is the responsibility of the Academic Degree Committees to evaluate the merits of the candidates and prioritize them in accordance with the specific requirements and evaluation criteria included below, approved by the Academic Committee of the Governing Council, in session held on October 16, 2013.

The Academic Committee of the Governing Council is responsible for the interpretation and, where appropriate, approval of any regulations that may be established in relation to the admission procedure, in order to ensure the principles of equality and equity of admission. The structure responsible for the master’s degree (ERT) will make public the specific admission requirements and the merit assessment and candidate selection criteria specified below, before the start of the general pre-enrollment period, through the means it deems appropriate. In any case, these means must always include the publication of this information on the UPV institutional website. Likewise, the ERT will resolve the admission applications in accordance with the aforementioned criteria and will publish the list of admitted students, as well as the list of applicants who remain on the waiting list, ordered according to the result of applying the merit assessment and selection criteria indicated below.
