Description of the title

The Erasmus Mundus University Master’s Degree in Waves, Acoustics, Vibration, Engineering and Sound (WAVES) is a two-year international program, entirely taught in English, offering multiple national master’s degrees and a joint diploma supported by the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Union.

This master’s degree focuses on training highly qualified professionals in acoustic engineering, ranging from the modeling of wave phenomena to the development of sustainable and quiet transportation systems. Graduates will be equipped to meet the challenges in various industries, such as transportation, energy and audio systems, contributing significantly to the reduction of the environmental impact of noise and the advancement of technologies in the field of acoustics.

This program provides an enriching international experience, training experts capable of integrating industrial groups and scientific research laboratories.

During the development of the Erasmus Mundus University Master’s Degree in Waves, Acoustics, Vibrations, Engineering and Sound, students have the opportunity to carry out external internships in various institutions and companies in the sector. Master’s Thesis

To obtain the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Waves, Acoustics, Vibrations, Engineering and Sound, you will have to defend a Master’s Thesis (TFM) that will be developed in the fourth semester of the program. This work will allow you to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the master’s degree in a practical context, addressing a specific topic in the field of acoustic engineering.

You will be able to carry out the TFM in collaboration with one of the partner institutions of the program or in industrial entities, which will give you the opportunity to integrate theory with professional practice and contribute to solving current problems in the field of acoustics. The topic of the TFM may vary according to your interests and industry trends, including areas such as noise reduction, advanced sound systems, or applications in medicine, among others.
