Description of the title
The Master’s Degree in Architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de València is designed to provide the necessary training to access the regulated profession of Architect, based on the Degree in Foundations of Architecture. This 60 ECTS credits program combines creativity, technical rigor, interdisciplinarity and a strong commitment to social responsibility and the environment.
Graduates will be prepared to develop architecture and urban planning projects, ranging from new construction to building renovation, as well as construction management and land management. The training is complemented by a Final Project that integrates and demonstrates the skills acquired throughout the master’s degree.

This master’s degree is designed for those students seeking to specialize in the field of architecture, meeting the official requirements for the practice of the profession.
- Students in possession of a degree in Fundamentals of Architecture from the UPV.
- Students with any other undergraduate degree whose curriculum is configured according to the provisions of Order EDU/2075/2010, enabling them to practice the profession of architect.

Internships
During the development of the Master’s Degree in Architecture, students have the opportunity to carry out external internships that allow them to apply the knowledge acquired in a real work environment. These internships can be carried out in companies in the architecture sector, as well as in institutions linked to urban planning and design.
As part of the training process, these professional experiences contribute to the acquisition of practical skills and to the improvement of students’ employability.

Master’s Thesis
To obtain the title of Master’s Degree in Architecture you must defend a Master’s Thesis (TFM) which consists of the preparation, presentation and defense of a comprehensive architectural project. This work will be developed individually and will be carried out in the second semester of the program, covering 30 ECTS credits.
The TFM must demonstrate the synthesis of all the competencies acquired throughout the master’s and bachelor’s degree, addressing an original exercise that complies with the applicable technical and administrative regulations, and will be evaluated by a university tribunal that will include at least one professional of recognized prestige.
