New workshops with PoliGPT at the Senior University and CiènciaLab

The conversational chatbot PoliGPT developed by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) through the Area of Information Systems and Communications (ASIC), is being used again, this first quarter in an edition of workshops aimed at seniors in the Universidad Senior and of CiènciaLab, aimed at adolescents between 16 and 18 years of age.

These activities are part of the project “Privacy Risks in Generative Artificial Intelligence for Children, Adolescents and Adults” (PRI4GENAI) developed by researchers at VRAIN e INGENIO (CSIC-UPV). The workshops will be held in person in the Vera Campus with groups of more than 20 participants, and will take place at the laboratories of the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science (DSIC) with the technical support of its personnel and in the Center for Continuing Education (CPF).

The objective of the project is to identify, understand and mitigate risks for privacy when using privacy tools Generative AI for all ages, with a human-centered approach to addressing user privacy, focusing specifically on those who use these technologies and not on those who develop them.

During the sessions, the participants will receive training and awareness-raising on the safe and responsible use of generative AI especially in the case of the conversational chatbots addressing topics such as:

  • What it is and how works generative artificial intelligence.
  • Good practices to protect privacy.
  • A practical experience of interaction with PoliGPT.

With this initiative, the UPV yVRAIN reaffirm their commitment to a responsible technology education and with the preparation of society for the new challenges posed by generative artificial intelligence.
