Teaching Transformation Area

The Teaching Transformation Area develops the actions, programs and initiatives of the Vice-Rector’s Office for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation aimed at strengthening the formative role of faculty, improving the learning experience of students and promoting innovative, inclusive and effective university teaching. The area directorate provides professional guidance and leadership in the following areas:

Innovation and methodological improvementPromoting the use of active methodologies, digital technologies and strategies focused on meaningful learning. Encouragement of teaching experimentation and the exchange of good practices among teachers.

Training and supportCoordination with the Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación (ICE) to offer pedagogical training programs, personalized counseling and communities of practice to support teachers’ professional development.

Recognition and motivationThe following are some of the key elements of the program: development of recognition programs for teaching excellence, integration of relevant indicators in the evaluation and accreditation processes, and design of progress itineraries that value continuous improvement in educational practice.

Tracking and customizationThe deployment of tools and indicators that allow for closer monitoring of student progress, facilitating informed decision-making and attention to the diversity of profiles and trajectories.

Reduction of non-teaching loadsIdentification of administrative tasks that hinder teaching and promotion of technological and organizational solutions to simplify processes and free up time for teaching and accompaniment.
