Strategic Planning Area

The Strategic Planning Area develops the actions, programs and initiatives of the Vice-Rectorate for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation aimed at aligning academic and institutional decisions with the future challenges of the Universitat Politècnica de València and its environment. The area management provides professional guidance and leadership in the following areas:

Design and monitoring of the university strategyStrategic and operational plans that integrate internal capacities with social, scientific and technological demands. Supervision of the fulfillment of institutional objectives through indicators and evaluation mechanisms.

Active listening and participationPromotion of participatory processes to capture the priorities and proposals of the university community, favoring a shared planning that combines an overall vision and local action.

Anticipation and academic sustainabilityProspective analysis of demographic, technological and social trends that may affect the university, guiding decisions on academic offerings, resources and organization in the medium and long term.

Integration with quality and continuous improvementThe link between planning, evaluation and action, so that quality systems and accreditation processes actively contribute to institutional learning and informed decision making.

Alliances and institutional positioningCoordination with other universities, networks and administrations to align the UPV strategy with regional, national and international frameworks, and to reinforce its role as a public university of reference.

UPV Strategic Plan 2027

To develop the UPV 2027 Strategy, a participatory process is proposed, in which the different members of the university community (in dialogue with civil society and the public administration) establish the challenges that the university must face, the objectives we set for ourselves, and the initiatives that will allow us to achieve them. To this end, the Rector’s Team, the Governing Council and the Social Council listen to the university community through focused working groups, conferences, round tables and debates.
