From concept to scene, direction and interpretation in the creation of stories.

Javier Fesser and Athenea Mata share their vision of the creative process at Gandia Campus.

Next Thursday February 12, the Aula Magna of the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) will host the lecture “From concept to scene: direction and interpretation in story creation” by director Javier Fesser and actress Athenea Mata.

Javier Fesser, screenwriter and director known for such titles as The miracle of P. Tinto, two film adaptations of Mortadelo and Filemón o Champions and winner of four Goya awards, together with Athenea Mata, an actress who participated in Champions and in the series Leaving the classroom will offer a close and professional look at the audiovisual and theater world.

During the talk, director and actress will discuss how creative ideas are born, the process of transforming those ideas into stories for the screen or theater stage, and how the profession is experienced from the inside.

The presentation is organized by UPV Polímono with the collaboration of the Innovation, Gandia Tourism and Promotion and the Audiovisual Analysis and Prospective Chair.

This meeting is a unique opportunity for students and the public interested in audiovisual and stage creation, who will be able to learn from two leaders in the sector and learn first-hand the ins and outs of the creative process.

The paper “From concept to scene: direction and interpretation in the creation of stories” will take place on February 12, at 12:30 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the Gandia Campus. It will last approximately two hours.
