Students of the Master’s Degree in Transmedia Communication present their projects to collaborating companies.
During a key day, the students of the Master’s Degree in Transmedia Communication (MUCT) from the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has had the opportunity to present their projects to the companies collaborating with the master’s degree. This session, framed within the MUCT teaching methodology, aims to transform the classroom into a real professional environment, bringing students closer to the dynamics of the labor market.
As explained by Cristina Santandreu, director of the master’s program, “our students develop real projects applied to companies”. In this academic and professional meeting, the solutions designed to respond to specific needs posed by the collaborating entities were presented. All this, “as part of the student’s training process”.
Real solutions for real needs
The projects presented are the result of a continuous work developed in different subjects of the master’s degree, in which students have applied strategies, narratives and formats of transmedia communication, adapted to different contexts and audiences.
For Esteban, “it has been a very interesting challenge”. Understanding the problems of the market and being able to provide a solution is what most motivates the students of the projects presented, Andrés says. Also for Maria, “having designed a project for a real company allows us to understand how the market works”. With their proposals they seek to “make stories visible”, Brenda explains and positioning, continues Rebeca, “the initiative of an entity already positioned in the market”.
Meeting point between universities and companies
In this edition, the participating collaborating companies have been the Las Colinas School, Essencia Real Estate, Fermax, Next2U Foundation and Kentia Interiors. All of them have been able to see first-hand the proposals developed by the students of the Master’s Degree in Transmedia Communication and provide their assessment from a professional perspective.
For Virginia Pons, president of Next2U, “we believe it is very important to tell everything we do”. From Fermax they explain that the challenge posed to the team of students of the master “was to collaborate with us in the dissemination, the organization of campaigns … so that our customers know better our program Gateway to employment, linked to Campus Fermax”. And Julián Nappi, from Kentia Interiores, assures that “there is a very good level” in the face of the challenge posed to the group of students. For Santi Torres from Essencia inmobiliaria, “society changes and customer demand evolves, so we wanted to find new solutions to be closer to the future customer”.
This type of initiative involves a key opportunity both for student learning -Cristina Santandreu, director of the University Master’s Degree in Transmedia Communication (MUCT), points out that the program has been designed both to strengthen the links between the university and the business world.
