327 new bachelor’s and 226 master’s degree students
This academic year 2025-2026, 327 new students have enrolled at the Gandia campus of the UPV to study for the following courses undergraduate or double degree studies. To all of them, the Vice Rector for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation of the UPV, Pedro García, encouraged them to “take advantage of the time” and “the opportunities to learn” that this institution offers.
Angela, for example, has opted for a degree in Audiovisual Communication because “I think I can contribute things and I really like this career. I hope it will help me to teach other people”. To Jesus, “I like cinema and music and I was called Audiovisual Communication when I was already studying ESO and I feel that it is my thing”.
To support them throughout the university stage, the Gandia campus has the figures of teacher-tutor and student-tutor. On the welcome day for first-year students 14 student-tutors participated that as its coordinator, Vega Medina, “I was also a first year student and I see how important it is to accompany the student so that he/she does not feel alone during the course”.
In addition to the first year students, we must add the new students entering the master’s degree program: 226 people have chosen one of the master’s degrees offered at the Gandia campus. And to this other resulting figure, the 845 who will continue their undergraduate, double degree or master’s degree studies. In addition, among this group of students we find the group of international students who considers the Gandia campus to be a study destination with many opportunities. Julie is German and has enrolled in Environmental Sciences because “I wanted to come to Spain and this is the only campus to continue studying what I want”. Celeste is studying Tourism and has left Italy to “live an academic experience abroad”. Along with them, 51 other students from France, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will continue their undergraduate or master’s degree studies during this academic year at the Gandia campus.

Audiovisual Communication and Telecommunication Systems Engineering, Sound and Image.
By degrees, the degrees in Audiovisual Communication and Telecommunication Systems Engineering, Sound and Image are the degrees with more first-year students enrolled, followed by the degrees in Interactive Technologies, Environmental and Tourism. For the director of the Gandia campus, “in general, the figures are similar to last year”. And the new Double Degree in Environmental Sciences and Marine Sciences and Technologies Vicenç Almenar pointed out that “the results have been very good and we also have to take into account that this is the first year it has been offered. We are sure that it will give us many joys in the future”.

At the master’s level, the figures are also good. The 103 people enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching are especially noteworthy. For the Master’s students, the welcome day will be held next Monday, September 15. However, for MUPES students, the activity has been brought forward to this morning.
