Dining room subsidies

Open until September 5 (inclusive), the deadline for applications for grants to cover the daily menu during the 2025-2026 school year..

In order to ensure that no one is excluded from university studies for economic reasons, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has announced, for the 2025-2026 academic year, its canteen grants, intended to cover the daily menu, for students enrolled in official undergraduate or master’s degree studies.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 5.

Financial and academic requirements

With the logical exception of new students (who will be assigned if applicable without taking into account the following requirement), grants will be awarded to students who, during the previous academic year, passed 40% of the credits in which they were enrolled if they exceeded 40 ECTS (full time) or 50% if enrolled part time (40 ECTS or less).

Applications from those who meet the academic requirements will be prioritized according to the per capita income of the family unit, up to a maximum of 8,000 euros, in increasing order, until the number of grants called (with a maximum amount of 290,678.16 euros) is exhausted.

The determination of the family unit, the calculation of the family’s economic situation and the award criteria can be consulted at the following websites complete rules of the call.

Failure to use 90% of the vouchers granted will result in the loss of the aid.

In order to use as many vouchers as possible and to ensure that as many applicants as possible benefit from them, a control of the vouchers consumed will be carried out.

Thus, those beneficiaries who, on January 31, 2026, without a sufficiently justified cause in the opinion of the Social Action Commission, have not used at least 90% of the aid granted up to that date, will have their aid revoked and the vouchers will be reassigned to people on the waiting list.

Similarly, on July 31, 2026, beneficiaries who have not used 90% of the vouchers granted without sufficient justification since February 1, 2026, will not be able to obtain the meal allowance for the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year.

The improper use of the aid (it is only valid for the menu of the day) or its use by persons other than the holder, will cause the revocation of the aid.

How to apply?

Any student can apply for the meal allowance by filling out the form accessible online, which is available on the student’s personalized information (Intranet), choosing the number of meal vouchers he or she expects to consume during each of the two established periods (from October 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026, and from February 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026), up to a maximum of 40 vouchers per period.

Allegations and resolution

After the deadline for submitting applications, the Alumni Service will publish on its website the following information web page a provisional list of persons admitted and excluded (including the reason(s)), after which the interested parties will have 5 working days to present allegations.

At the end of the period for presenting allegations, and after studying the arguments presented, the proposal will be submitted to the rector, who will resolve the call for applications within a maximum period of one month from the end of the period for presenting allegations. The definitive resolution will then be published in the above-mentioned Alumni Services website.
