The annual meeting of the network, made up of the five science parks of the Valencian public universities, was held on the Gandia campus.
The Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV) the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), has appointed Pedro Carrasco as the new president of the entity. The director of the Science Park of the University of Valencia (UV) replaces Tonia Salinas, director of the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.
“It is an honor to take on the challenge of representing and defending the interests of companies, organizations and research institutes that make up the five science parks of the Valencian Community”. In this sense, “we will continue working to make visible the value they contribute to the environment and society, favoring the retention of talent in our region,” said the new president of the rePCV, who will hold the position until 2027.
Annual meeting at the Gandia campus
The Universitat Politècnica de València, represented by the director of the CPI, Juan Vicente Capella, has been in charge of organizing the annual meeting of the rePCV. The meeting took place at the Gandia campus, where the research activity continues to grow. Moreover, as stated by its director, Vicenç Almenar, after greeting the representatives of the network of Valencian science parks, “we are training professionals who will not only be able to join the labor market, but also contribute to research in our R+D+i structures”.

It should be remembered that the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV) is made up of Espaitec, the Science and Technology Park of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI); the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (CPI); the Science Park of the University of Valencia (UV); the Science Park of the University of Alicante (UA) and the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH).
The main objective of this network is to promote regional economic development through innovation, strengthening the competitiveness of the companies and knowledge institutions that host the parks. In addition, the rePCV promotes a diversified, sustainable and socially responsible business network.
