As part of the course Determination of Ecological Status from the Master’s Degree in Environmental Assessment and Monitoring of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems (MEMIC), the UPV’s Gandia campus will host a seminar on the main criteria and indicators used to determine the good environmental status of benthic habitats.
The seminar will be led by Alberto Serrano López, research professor at the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC) at the Santander Oceanographic Center. His research focuses on the study of benthos, with a special emphasis on the effects of human activities on these habitats.
