Observation campaign in the INTA 1000 metrological infrastructure.

As part of the research project GNSS-Metrology coordinated by the Department of Cartographic Engineering, Geodesy and Photogrammetry of the UPV and financed by the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research, the first observation campaign was carried out in the INTA1000 metrological infrastructure, located in the INTA Campus of La Marañosa. The infrastructure, which has a central calibration base and its corresponding control network, is a joint effort of the  National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), of the Spanish Metrology Center (CEM) and the  Polytechnic University of Valencia(UPV) to provide in Spain an outdoor test area for the development and validation of long-range distance measurement techniques with an uncertainty better than 1 ppm.

The measurements performed will provide the first approximate coordinates of the centerings with a three-dimensional accuracy of better than 3 mm, necessary for the correct reduction of the submillimeter measurements to be performed next year. In 2027, once the necessary stabilization period of the pillars has elapsed, a new campaign will be carried out using submillimeter distance measurement techniques, such as the  GBDM+ developed at the UPV or the Arpent two-color distance meter prototype developed by the  Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers(CNAM).
