UPV inaugurates the facilities of the first Spanish university center in China, the Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute (BVPI)
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has inaugurated today the facilities of the first Spanish university center in China, the Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute (BVPI). Located in Hangzhou, the BVPI is an unprecedented milestone in the history of Spanish higher education: it will be the first center to provide official university teaching abroad.
“The inauguration of the UPV center facilities in Hangzhou reinforces our international projection and our leadership in the Spanish university system. And it reaffirms the UPV’s commitment to teaching and research excellence, now endorsed in this alliance between two universities of international prestige such as the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Beihang University. Today we present to society the facilities from which we will develop our activity; one more step that brings us closer to the dream of being able to operate as a campus at the beginning of the next academic year. Today is undoubtedly one of the most important days in the history of our university,” said the rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla, during the inauguration.
