TheSIQ_UPV is the Internal Quality Assurance System of the Universitat Politècnica de València, designed to ensure that the governance and quality policy of the UPV meet its strategic objectives. These objectives are focused on ensuring that the training programs and teaching and teaching support staff are adequate for the learning experience of students to achieve maximum educational effectiveness, from the social responsibility of its institutional activity as a public university.
Based on European quality standards (ENQA), in accordance with the current legal framework and aligned with program criteria and guidelines. AUDIT-AVAPThe SIQ_UPV is evolving to meet the current challenges of higher education, with a flexible, useful vision committed to excellence;
The SIQ_UPV Framework Structure was approved by the Governing Council on March 8, 2017. Its characteristics are:
- Central focus on learning:Places the student experience at the center of the academic activity;
- Aligned with international standards:Adapted to the quality criteria recognized in the field of higher education;
- Versatile for different accreditation processes:Both for the accreditation of training programs and competencies as well as for institutional accreditation;
- Joint evaluation of centers and programs:It recognizes the Responsible Degree Structures (ERTs) as an active part of the evaluation process;
- Flexible, inclusive and oriented to continuous improvement:It fosters a culture of quality that values student diversity, institutional responsibility and accountability to society;

The system is constituted by the set of organizational structure, responsibility, processes, action procedures, and resources that are established in the UPV to carry out quality management. It is maintained and continuously improved through the application of the quality policy and objectives, the measurement and analysis of the results of the processes and the satisfaction of the stakeholders, the internal and external evaluations and the review and improvement of the system.
The framework structure of the SIQ_UPV is organized as follows6 dimensions and 19 sub-dimensions that encompass the quality of university academic activity at the UPV.
This activity is developed at a double level that integrates both the functions of the UPV and its transversal management and support entities, services and units, with those of its ERTs.
