Erasmus BIPs
The Erasmus BIPs (Blended Intensive Programs) are intensive programs that combine learning online and short-distance travel (usually a one-week in-person program). They are open to students from any field of study and at any level, and serve as an alternative or supplement to longer programs lasting several months or an entire academic year.
Organized by at least three universities from different countries, these programs involve working in international and multidisciplinary teams to solve practical challenges or problems, under the guidance of faculty members. The UPV may serve as an organizer or a participant.
The program will begin with an online phase, followed by a week of in-person classes at the host university. In some cases, the online work may begin or continue after the in-person phase.
Every BIP is different. In general, it usually includes:
- Online introductory sessions for the workshop
- Independent work or virtual work in international teams
- Classes and in-person work for one week at the host university
- Presentation of the results or conclusions. The final product can be a presentation or written assignment, an app, a prototype, a video, a blog, a website, a computer tool…
Calls for Applications
The Erasmus BIPs (Blended Intensive Programs) don’t have a set schedule. There is no single list of available BIPs.
Whenever a call for applications is issued, students at the Gandia Campus who are eligible to participate will be notified by email.
