The programme aims to combine different approaches from STEM studies and urban planning in order to address real challenges in urban environments. The project reinforces the role of universities as active agents in society, promoting their engagement beyond the academic sphere. It also seeks to strengthen the connection between universities and social groups with more limited access to academic institutions, through new, more inclusive and citizen-centred forms of collaboration.

The work was carried out in interdisciplinary groups with participants from various European universities, enabling the challenges to be addressed from different academic and cultural perspectives and fostering more comprehensive and enriching solutions. The experience combined an academic approach with a strong collaborative and intercultural component, highlighting the importance of teamwork in international contexts and the integration of diverse disciplinary perspectives.
