The Andersen Chair UPV celebrated the closing of its 1st edition with a day dedicated to the analysis of the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the business world. The meeting brought together academic and professional experts to reflect on the challenges and opportunities that this technology poses in the economic and corporate spheres.
The session began with an institutional welcome from representatives of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Andersen University who highlighted the importance of strengthening university-business links to promote comprehensive training aligned with current market needs.


The central axis of the day was the round table, with the participation of:
- Andrés Pedreño Former Chancellor of the University of Alicante and Co-Founder of Torre Juana IA HUB
- Miguel Sebastian Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and researcher at ICAE.
- Vincent Botti Director of VRAIN and Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV)
- Francisco Gavilan President of Nunsys Group
- Carlos Rodriguez Partner of the Legaltech area in Andersen Madrid
- Benjamin Prieto Partner and Head of Andersen’s Valencia Office

The speakers offered a multidisciplinary vision of the implications of Artificial Intelligence in the company, addressing aspects related to innovation, competitiveness, regulation, ethics and the transformation of business models. The diversity of profiles allowed for a enriching exchange of perspectives and consolidated the table as one of the highlights of the event.
As a final touch to this first edition, the awards were presented to the winners. Best Academic Paper Awards linked to sustainability and regulated markets.
The awardees were:
- Mar Monzó Ramón awarded with the Best Final Degree Project (TFG)
- Mishel Asparuhova Danova recognized with the Best Master’s Thesis (TFM)
Both papers stand out for their quality, academic rigor and contribution to the study of contemporary challenges in sustainability and regulation.
With this closing ceremony, the Andersen UPV Chair culminates a year of training activities, specialized conferences and meeting spaces for professionals, students and teachers. The Chair thus reaffirms its commitment to training in sustainability, regulated markets and bringing the business world closer to the university environment.
The activity will continue in the 2025-2026 academic year, following the recent renewal of the agreement between Andersen Iberia and the Universitat Politècnica de València, consolidating this project as a benchmark for collaboration, knowledge and professional development.
