Bringing the artistic talent trained at the UPV closer to Valencian society is the aim of the exhibitions PAM!PAM! 22 and PAM!PAM! 23, open to the public at the historic site of the Atarazanas de València, from 28 September to 19 November.
The exhibitions, which stand out for their creative richness and artistic innovation, allow visitors to enjoy pieces selected by a jury of renowned prestige. The works have been presented by students who have completed master's degree programmes at the Faculty of Fine Arts.
PAM!PAM! 22 and PAM!PAM! 23 is possible thanks to the support of the Hortensia Herrero Foundation, the València City Council and the Universitat Politècnica de València.
According to Laura Silvestre, Vice-Dean of Culture at the Faculty of Fine Arts and curator of PAM!PAM! 22 and 23, together with Lecturer José Luis Clemente, the most notable aspect of this initiative is that it is held one year after the student's graduation when they have already begun their career process outside the classroom.
At this crucial moment, the UPV continues supporting their young talents as they emerge on the artistic scene. "The jury is made up of renowned personalities, so PAM!PAM! allows direct contact with the Valencian cultural trade and demonstrates the full potential of each artist, with the production of their work thanks to the Hortensia Herrero Foundation".
Jorge Dabaliña + Roser Domingo, María Esteve Trull, Alfredo Guillamón, Diego Kohli, Aeri (Saúl López Gil), Iris López Olivares, Vicent Machí, Lucía Rabadán, Andrea Siervo and Javier Tejero Gómez, are the artists exhibiting at PAM!PAM! 22.
Leo Pum, Aina Monzó, Claudia Pastomas, Alejandro Robaina, Sofía Alemán, Paula Tarrío, Lucía Sanz, Silvia Binda, Alfonso del Moral and Sara Marhuenda are participating in PAM!PAM! 23.
For the group of students, participating in this collective exhibition has helped them lose the fear of showing their work; it has taught them to work with other artists to build a joint collection and adapt themselves to show their work in spaces with specific features.
