Introduction

Maintenance is an engineering activity that nowadays employs a multitude of resources, such as sophisticated measuring instruments, powerful computer equipment, specific software, etc. This requires those responsible for its management to have multidisciplinary training in technical, economic, statistical and quality issues, etc., in order to achieve continuous improvement of execution plans and processes with a view to achieving optimum reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) values. The latest study by the Spanish Maintenance Association points out that maintenance involves the entire national economy, accounting for around 9.4% of GDP. This gives an idea of the importance of maintenance as a strategic sector, which employs a multitude of professionals, with all types of qualifications, but with a clear trend towards industrial engineering graduates. This Master's Degree responds to the current need for training in Maintenance Engineering, and supplements or complements the shortcomings of current university degrees.

Objectives

The main objective of the Master's Degree in Maintenance Engineering is to provide professional training for future managers in that area of the company. Given the multidisciplinary nature of maintenance, the master's degree offers a wide range of subjects so that its graduates can quickly become operational in any field of work, combining technical, economic, IT, logistical, management contents, etc.
