BA in Tourism (1st cycle degree)

Training goals 

The studies leading to a degree in Tourism are regulated by Spanish Royal Decree 604/1996, of 15th April, and are aimed at providing graduates with the skills and knowledge they need to be able to respond to the changing demands of the tourism industry. Students can choose to study one of three specialist pathways: Hotel Management and Administration, Tourism Management and Commercialisation, and Tourist Planning and Development.

Career opportunities 

Tourism graduates are qualified to work in the following spheres of professional activity:

  • Management and administration of tourism enterprises that deal with accommodation, intermediary companies and complementary offers (animation, events, etc.).
  • Market surveys for tourist companies and resorts.
  • Public management and planning of tourist resorts.
  • Development and promotion of all kinds of products for tourism: holidays, the elderly, business, rural, urban, cultural, adventure, and so forth.
