KNUT EIRIK DAHL y KJERSTIN UHRE
Son socios en Dahl&Uhre architects/D&U en Tromsø, Noruega. Dahl es profesor en el Instituto de Urbanismo y Paisaje de la Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño, en Oslo/AHO, y presidente de Europan, Noruega. Uhre ha trabajado como profesora a tiempo parcial en la AHO y en la BAS, la Escuela de Arquitectura Bergen. D&U ha generado y promovido exhaustivos debates públicos como el Juego de Tromsø (Ciudad de Diálogos) y el Año del Desarrollo Urbanístico (Ciudad de Crónicas). Diálogos públicos abiertos y sugestivos, y proyectos para concursos en Escandinavia a escala local y regional, son parte importante de su actividad. Su último trabajo es el plan maestro titulado En medio del mundo/En medio de Nuuk en Groenlandia.

Knut Eirik Dahl and Kjerstin Uhre are partners in Dahl&Uhre architects/D&U in Tromsø, Norway. Dahl is professor at the Institute of Urbanism and Landscape at The school of Architecture and Design in Oslo/AHO, and is president of Europan, Norway. Uhre has been part-time teacher at AHO and BAS, the Bergen School of Architecture. D&U is an initiator and creator of comprehensive public discourses as the Game of Tromsø (City Of Dialogues) and the Year of City Development (City of Chronicles). Opening and calling for public dialogue and competition projects in Scandinavia at both urban and regional scales are important aspects of their work. Their latest work is the master plan entitled In the middle of the World//In the Middle of Nuuk in Greenland.

MARIA HELLSTRÖM REIMER
Es artista visual y profesora de teoría del diseño en la Universidad de Malmö, en la Escuela de Artes y Comunicación. En 2006, se doctoró en arquitectura del paisaje y se especializó en estética teórica y aplicada, y desde entonces ha centrado su investigación en los aspectos figurativos, performativos, epistemológicos y políticos del diseño. En la actualidad, Hellström Reimer es miembro del consejo directivo de la Escuela Nacional de Investigación y miembro de la Comisión para la Investigación Artística del Consejo Sueco de Investigación. Durante el 2012, trabajará como profesora visitante en el departamento de arquitectura del paisaje de la BOKU, en Viena.

Maria Hellström Reimer is visual artist and professor in design theory at Malmö University, School of Arts and Communication. In 2006, she received her PhD in landscape architecture with a specialization in theoretical and applied aesthetics, and her research has since then focused on representational, performative, epistemological and political aspects of design. Hellström Reimer is currently a member of the steering
committee of the National Research School, and a member of the Swedish Research Council’s Committee for Artistic Research. During 2012 she will be a visiting professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture at BOKU, Vienna.

TONE LINDHEIM
Es arquitecta del paisaje, socia de Bjorbekk & Lindheim, arquitectos del paisaje, en Oslo, uno de los estudios más importantes de Noruega. Es profesora de arquitectura del paisaje en la UMB, Universidad de Ciencias de la Vida, escritora y crítica. En 2010 fue finalista del premio europeo Rosa Barba. Ha llevado a cabo algunos de los proyectos de transformación urbana más grandes de Noruega, y también algunos proyectos de urbanizaciones, parques públicos y desarrollo urbanístico.

Tone Lindheim is landscape architect, partner in Bjorbekk & Lindheim landscape architects in Oslo, one of the largest practices in the Norway. She is professor in landscape architecture at UMB, University of Life Sciences; she is also an author and a critic. She was nominated for the 2010 European Rosa Barba Prize. She has been responsible for major urban transformation projects in Norway, as well as projects for housing, public parks and city developments.

LUIS NAVARRO
Es escritor, promotor en los noventa del colectivo underground de acción estética Industrias Mikuerpo y el fanzine Amano. Posteriormente coordinó la editorial independiente Literatura Gris, comprometida en la recuperación del legado de los situacionistas y formó parte del colectivo de crítica Maldeojo. Ha participado en numerosas publicaciones culturales, catálogos, proyectos web y libros colectivos.

Luis Navarro is a writer and promoter of the 90s underground collective for aesthetic action known as Industrias Mikuerpo and the fanzine, Amano. He later went on to coordinate the independent publisher Literatura Gris, committed to the recovery of the situacionista legacy and formed part of Maldeojo, a collective of critical thinkers. He has participated in several cultural publications, catalogues, web projects and collective books.

FERNANDO GAJA I DÍAZ
València, 1952. Arquitecto, especialidad Urbanismo, por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de València (1979); Doctor Arquitecto (1984), Profesor Titular de Urbanística y Ordenación del Territorio en el Departamento de Urbanismo de la Universidad Politécnica de València. Ejercicio profesional como urbanista redactando planes y proyectos de diversas escalas, con particular dedicación a los ámbitos históricos. Autor de trabajos de investigación sobre la vivienda de promoción pública, la cuestión de los Centros Históricos, el espacio público y la sostenibilidad de las intervenciones urbanísticas, materias en las que ha publicado diversos libros y artículos, v. gr. Urbanismo, ciudades y calentamiento global. Equívocos y sofismas (2010), Urbanismo sostenible, urbanismo estacionario. Ideas para la transición (2009), Urbanismo ecológico, ¿sueño o pesadilla? (2008), No es Equipamiento todo lo que reluce. Las Dotaciones Públicas en la perspectiva del Marketing Urbano (2007), Revolución Informacional, Crisis Ecológica y Urbanismo (2006),... Fernando Gaja i Diaz was born in Valencia in 1952. He took a degree in architecture and specialized in Urbanism at Valencia’s Higher School of Architecture in 1979; He obtained a PhD in Architecture in 1984 and went on to a tenured academic position as Senior Lecturer in Urbanism and Regional Planning at the Department of Urbanism at the Universidad Politécnica de València. As an urban planner and designer he worked on various projects in a diverse range of scales, particularly with regard to historic quarters and sites. He has written several research papers on public housing, the situation of the old quarters of cities, public spaces and the sustainability of urban interventions; these areas have been the subjects of various books and articles such as Urbanismo, ciudades y calentamiento global. Equívocos y sofismas (2010), Urbanismo sostenible, urbanismo estacionario. Ideas para la transición (2009), Urbanismo ecológico, ¿sueño o pesadilla? (2008), No es Equipamiento todo lo que reluce. Las Dotaciones Públicas en la perspectiva del Marketing Urbano (2007) and Revolución Informacional, Crisis Ecológica y Urbanismo (2006). He was coordinator at the 21st ETSA workshop (2001-2008) which sought to offer alternative solutions from a perspective of integrated sustainability. He has written articles for the press, particularly in the active years of the collective Terra Crítica (2001-2007)

AMADOR FERNÁNDEZ-SAVATER
Madrid, 1974. Investigador independiente, colabora regularmente en el periódico Público pero no es periodista; anima con otros amigos desde hace más de diez años la editorial Acuarela sin ser un profesional del mundo del libro; le va la vida en el pensamiento pero no es intelectual, ni filósofo, ni tiene nada que ver con la academia; y se plantea políticamente la existencia sin haber tenido nunca que ver con un partido, ni considerarse ahora militante o activista. Igual la etiqueta que mejor le cuadra es la editor, porque su actividad pasa por acompañar procesos de pensamiento, por registrar, sintetizar, coordinar y comunicar fragmentos de discurso, por tejer líneas y relaciones entre distintos puntos de enunciación, por tomar la voz del otro para hablar por cuenta propia y proponer de forma incesante mil y una conversaciones para pensar el mundo junto a otros. Y de vez en cuando "editar" le obliga también a escribir.

Amador Fernández-Savater was born in Madrid in 1974. As an independent researcher he regularly writes for the newspaper Público but he is not a journalist. For the past decade he, together with other collaborators and friends, has been a driving force behind the Acuarela publishing house without being a publishing professional. He is an engaged thinker but he is neither an intellectual nor a philosopher and he is not part of Academia. He makes a political approximation to existence but has never had anything to do with a political party; likewise, he does not see himself as a militant or an activist. Perhaps the label that best defines him is editor as his thoughts and energies are directed toward thinking processes: the challenge of registering, synthesising, coordinating and communicating fragments of discourse. He delves into the lines and points that make up the diversity of statement which may involve speaking on behalf of the other; by doing so he makes statements in his own right in a bid to understand the world alongside others, the co-participants of a multitude of conversations. At times "editing" means he has to write.

BOKE BAZÁN
Licenciado en BB.AA. (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y Middlesex University de Londres). Profesor del Master en Diseño e Ilustración de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Valencia (UPV) y del Master en Ingeniería del Diseño de la ESET de Valencia (Universidad CEU). Diseñador gráfico, ilustrador, director de arte y director creativo de estudios de diseño y agencias de publicidad, funda en 2007 el estudio Boke Bazán Proyectos Creativos, desde donde genera ideas para empresas e instituciones que confían en la cultura del proyecto como herramienta imprescindible en los procesos de intercambio actuales.

Boke Bazán has a degree in Fine Arts (obtained at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and Middlesex University, London). He is a Senior Lecturer in the Master’s Programme in Design and Illustration at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Valencia, (UPV) and in Master’s Programme in Design Engineering at Valencia’s ESET school (Universidad CEU). He has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, art director and creative director at various design studios and advertising agencies. In 2007 he set up the design studio Boke Bazán Proyectos Creativos, where he comes up with new ideas for firms and institutions. Such clients see that the culture of a project is a vital component of today’s exchange processes.

Colabora con La Vanguardia desde 1984, y ha publicado en: El País, El Periódico, El Mundo;The New York Times; Libération, Courrier International, Télérama (Paris); Domus, Abitare (Milan). 16 exposiciones individuales (España, Francia, Japón y México) y un centenar de colectivas en 24 países. Conferencias y talleres en: España, Francia, Suiza, Alemania, Inglaterra, Japón, Australia, México, Brasil y Argentina. Premio Nacional de Diseño 1998.

Peret was born in Barcelona in 1945 and works in graphic design, illustration, photography, sculpture and stage design. 1963-66 Worked at Escuela Massana, Estudio Pla-Narbona, Guitart Publicidad and Orbe Médico. 1970-76 (Paris): Freelance Designer/illustrator for studios, advertising agencies and publishing companies. 1977-8 (Barcelona) Artistic Director and illustrator at Ediciones Z. He has had his own studio since 1979 and has collaborated with publishing houses, press, advertising agencies and public and private institutions including TV3, Televisión de Cataluña, BTV Barcelona TV; Canal+ y Canal Inf’HO L’Hospitalet. En 1989 he began collaborating with firms and institutes in Japan, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, United Kingdom, United States, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Mexico and Austria. He has collaborated with La Vanguardia since 1984 and has published in: El País, El Periódico, El Mundo; The New York Times; Libération, Courrier International, Télérama (Paris); Domus and Abitare (Milan). He has held 16 individual exhibitions (Spain, France, Japan, and México) and about one hundred collective ones in 24 countries. Conferences and workshops in: Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. He was awarded the Premio Nacional de Diseño (National Design Prize) in1998.

LUIS ESLAVA STUDIO
Luis Eslava Studio, formado por Luis Eslava, que después de Estudiar en El Royal College of art. en Londres, y trabajar una Temporada en Japón, Decidió establecer su estudio en 2008 en Valencia donde con Lorena Sauras formada entre España y Suecia, comparten la dirección creativa Estudio, entienden el diseño desde una perspectiva integral, por eso tienen formación en diferentes disciplinas del diseño, “el diseñador ha de ser capaz de aportar todo tipo de soluciones. Por eso orientan su estudio hacia la creación de proyectos globales, diseño de producto, diseño de espacios, etc.”. Colaboran con empresas tales como, Sancal España, Tombow Japón, Velcro Europe, Martini Rusia, entre otras.

Luis Eslava Studio is directed by Luis Eslava who, after studying at The Royal College of Art in London and gaining further experience in Japan, set up his studio in Valencia in 2008. For the new studio he teamed up with Lorena Sauras who was trained in both Spain and Sweden and together they do the art direction at Studio. They have an integral vision on design and that’s why they drawn from their own training in various disciplines; “the designer should be able to offer a whole array of solutions. That’s why they gear their studio towards the creation of global projects, product design, spatial design, etc.” They collaborate with such firms as Sancal Spain, Tombow Japan, Velcro Europe, and Martini Russia, among others.
