What do you want to study?

The UPV has broken records by offering more than 10,000 places for new students for the 2026-2027 academic year: 5,857 are for bachelor's degrees and 4,216 for master's degrees

[ 12/06/2026 ]

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) –popularly known as the Shanghai Ranking and considered the world’s most prestigious indicator due to its objectivity– has for years ranked the Universitat Politècnica de València as Spain's best technological university. Perhaps for this reason, the UPV continues to grow. For the coming academic year, the number of available places has reached a new record, exceeding the 10,000-place mark for new students.

Of these, 5,857 –almost 60%– will be allocated to the 58 bachelor's and double bachelor's degrees and 12 PARS (Academic Programmes with Successive Pathways) that the UPV will offer from September onwards. The remaining 4,216 places will be for the 122 existing university master's and double master's degrees, many of which are accredited by international quality seals awarded by globally recognised associations such as EUR-ACE, EURO-INF, ABET or EQAS-Food.

This increase in places is largely due to the new programmes being launched at the UPV’s international campus in Hangzhou (China), known as the Asian Silicon Valley: 4 bachelor’s degrees and 6 master’s degrees taught entirely in English, mainly by Spanish and Chinese teaching staff, at the Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute (BVP).

Spanish campuses are also expanding in this regard: up to 8 new programmes (2 bachelor’s degrees and 6 master’s degrees) are being added this year to the UPV’s catalogue at the Vera (Valencia) and Gandia campuses.

Undergraduate pre-enrolment: 15 June to 3 July

Undergraduate pre-enrolment will be open for three weeks: from 15 June to 3 July. For students from international systems, pre-enrolment will be extended until 7 July (until 2 pm). If you’d like to find out a bit more about each degree, take a look at the videos we’ve prepared (in Spanish). In 92 seconds, we’ll tell you the essentials of each degree. And if you need more detail, don’t miss the 30-minute video podcasts about the schools and faculties (also in Spanish).

Remember that the degrees taught in China are official, regulated qualifications, valid for all purposes, just like any other Spanish degree. To find out more, visit this website.

Finally, we’d like to introduce you to Pau and Nora, AI guidance counsellors developed by the UPV, who answer the most common queries (and also the most specific) also in English. For example, they explain the difference between the Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and the Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, which is very useful.

Pre-enrolment for master’s degrees: 15–26 June

Phase 2 of pre-enrolment for university master’s degrees lasts just two weeks: from Monday 15 to Friday 26 June. The full list of master's degrees accepting new students during this period includes around twenty programmes across a wide range of fields: from biomedical biotechnology to cybersecurity, including the visual arts and cooperation to the development.

You will find qualifying master’s degrees, Erasmus Mundus, inter-university programmes and double master’s degrees. There are also programmes delivered through face-to-face, part-time or 100% online formats. Most are taught in Spanish and/or Valencian, and some are taught entirely in English. The list of programmes with language entry requirements is published on this Student Services website.
