After the storm comes the calm

The Universitat Politècnica de València hosts 6,300 students sitting their university entrance exams

[ 29/05/2026 ]

A total of 6,300 students are sitting the University Entrance Exams (PAU) at the Universitat Politècnica de València from 2 to 4 June, having prepared for them throughout the academic year.

The UPV is coordinating a total of 12 examination boards across the towns of Valencia, Gandia, Xàtiva and Alzira. In total, more than 20,000 students are sitting these exams over the coming days in the Valencian Community. And as every year, we have a message for everyone taking the exams:

After the storm comes the calm

To encourage students sitting the PAU exams, the Universitat Politècnica de València has once again relied on the work of 4th-year Audiovisual Communication students at the Gandia Campus. As part of the Public Relations and Corporate Video courses, both coordinated by Professor Pablo Huerta, five different campaigns were presented.

The campaign chosen to encourage the website www.upv.es is "After the storm comes the calm". The proposal was devised by Claudia Delgado Hernando, Marta Frasquet Climent, Alexandra García Beltrán, Raquel Igual Villanueva, Ángela Martínez García and Elena Martínez Torrijos.

In this video, the protagonist appears with an umbrella in a dark setting when someone suddenly throws water from a bucket at her, and the scene becomes sunny. "With this, we aim to send a message of encouragement and hope to students sitting the PAU exams. The idea is reinforced by the message that appears at the end: 'After the storm comes the calm', indicating that although everything may seem bleak whilst studying and it is a stressful time, once it is over, calm and relaxation follow," say the creators of the project.

More videos on social media and on campus screens

"After the storm comes the calm" is joined by three other proposals created by the rest of the students in both courses, which can be viewed on the UPV's social media and on the screens at the three campuses hosting these exams.

"Your Next Adventure" is the campaign created by Mara de la Vega, Rubén Coll Hoya, Zhen Hao Li Li and Nerea Briz Naranjo; "The Duel" was created by Ana María Pérez, Rodrigo Monedero Orts, Kimberly Lisbeth Collaguazo Vivanco, Mara Sanchis, Maria Del Mar Lacomba, Santino Del Longo Clerici and Clara Oviedo. Alba Aguilar, Lucía Calvo, Víctor Hurtado, Raquel Pastor, Betsabé Torres and Milagros Velázquez have created "Devouring the PAU".
